Scott Redford Exhibition

Overview

I was tasked with creating the visual branding and catalogue art direction that would honour Scott Redford's major solo exhibition at Queensland's Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). Typography, colour palette to gallery banners and advertising supported the exhibition's narrative arc while ensuring Redford's distinctive artistic voice remained at the forefront of the visitor experience.

Responsibilities

Working with Scott Redford to:

  • Develop typography, colour palette and visual design
  • Design and Art Direction of all exhibition assets and exhibition catalogue
  • Manage production and printing processes
  • Manage proofing and editing processes
“The exhibition was a dialogue on Redford's work with an imaginary character named Reinhardt Dammn.”

On reflection

It was a pleasure to work closely with a contemporary Australian artist that's not afraid to push the boundaries of creativity and humour in their work. This was a rare opportunity to manage a rollout of material across multiple channels for a major gallery exhibition.
